As a rare case in the history of Indian cinema, a movie was being made on an international subject. And the subject in question was the Nazi leader Hitler. Though an intriguing character to work on, a film on him had to create some flutter, and it did. Anupam Kher, who was signed on to play the strong role of the fuehrer, received some heat from people over it. Realising the fact that he was hurting the sentiments of the small community of Jews living in India, he withdrew from the project quite gracefully, claiming it to be a mistake as he tweeted, "Sometimes human emotions are more important than cinema:).I withdrew from Hitler film." He went on to say "Thanks for your varied reactions to my opting out of Hitler. After 400 films in 26yrs I have the right to be wrong and still be HAPPY:)." It is yet to be seen if Anupam’s exit from the film will stall the project or someone else will take on the role.
