Aamir Khan is a family man and he makes a lot of effort to ensure that each and every family member gets his time, attention and support. His daughter Ira Khan is organizing a fundraising celebrity football match on July 20 in Mumbai. Aamir is the captain of one of the teams while Abhishek Bachchan is the captain of the other team. The match is being organized to raise funds for Ms Nuzhat Khan's (Aamir's sister and Imran's mom) animal shelter TIGI Foundation (Trust In Goodness Inside) as they want to build a state of the art Animal Shelter just outside Mumbai.
In a rare and first-ever video interview, Aamir along with his daughter Ira Khan spoke exclusively to Bollywood Hungama about the eagerly awaited football match. The wonderful banter between the father-daughter duo has to be seen to be believed. "I just hope that she remains happy and healthy all her life and contributes positively to people's lives and mine," Aamir said. Ira has successfully managed to convince a lot of big Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Tiger Shroff, Nargis Fakhri etc to be a part of this football match. "Salman is coming?," Aamir exclaimed. "He's not playing but he's gonna come for a bit. He can't stay the whole time," Ira said. "We'll get him to play if he's coming," Aamir chipped in.
Ira shared some interesting information about the fundraising efforts for TIGI Foundation's Animal Shelter. If a fan donates a certain amount of money then he/she gets to spend some time with Aamir on the sets of P.K. or a cooking lesson with Kiran or a ride in Imran Khan's Ferrari. "At 20 km an hour, no speeding," Aamir said with a chuckle
Aamir informed that the last schedule of P.K. starts in September, roughly from 1st to 15th September. And, is it confirmed that the first look promo of P.K. is coming with Kick? "You'll get to know," Aamir replied with a smile. Aamir has already shot for all the episodes of the next season of Satyamev Jayate. It will start airing from mid September this year. The last season had five episodes while this one will be having six episodes. Recently Aamir met Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi to hand over the DVD of the first season of Satyamev Jayate. "I also went to meet Mr Modi, since in the last season, for all the five topics we had people voting-in for change for different issues, so I wanted him to be aware of all of that. I went to brief him about that, the support that each issue has received," Aamir said.
Last thoughts from Ira, so what plans do you have for yourself, will it be movies, in any capacity? "If the camera is involved then it will have to be behind the camera," Ira said.
