Two more men charged in a vicious 2010 home invasion, Markham

Investigators working out of the York Regional Police Homicide Unit have charged two additional suspects with First Degree Murder, Attempted Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder in connection with the November 8, 2010, home invasion and homicide in the Town of Markham.

On Thursday, April 14, 2011, with the assistance of members working out of the Emergency Response Unit and Canine Unit, homicide investigators arrested David MYLVAGANAM, 22, of  Toronto, at a commercial parking lot in the area of Jane Street and Finch Street in the City of Toronto.

On Friday, April 15, 2011, investigators also charged Eric CARTY, 30, of no fixed address, after attending Maplehurst Correctional Complex, where he was being held in custody on unrelated matters.

On Monday, November 22, 2010, investigators charged Jennifer PAN, 24, of Markham, with Murder, Attempted Murder and Conspiracy in the death of her mother and serious assault on a second victim.

The investigation continues and further arrests are anticipated.

On Monday, November 8, 2010, at approximately 10:30 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a residence on Helen Avenue after receiving a 9-1-1 call reporting a home invasion. Upon arrival,  police discovered Bieh Ha PAN, 53, of Markham, who had succumbed to injuries inside the residence. A 57-year-old male was also discovered in the residence with serious injuries. Surviving the attack, he continues to recover in an undisclosed location.
