Two teens’ Jermaine Phillips and Drai O’Hara-Salmon charges upgraded to first degree murder

On Tuesday, December 27, 2011, the victim, Said Hadbai, was in the area of Richmond Street and Angel Street, London when he was involved in a confrontation. As a result of that confrontation, Said Hadbai, was shot and killed. Two males were arrested and charged. Jermaine Anthony Phillips, 18-years-old, and Drai O’Hara-Salmon 19-years-old were both charged with second degree murder. Jermaine Phillips was also charged with several firearms offences. 

After consultation with the Crown Attourney, the London Police Service is upgrading the second degree murder charges to first degree murder for both Jermaine Phillips and Drai O’Hara-Salmon. Jermaine Phillips and Drai O’Hara-Salmon are in custody and will appear in court today.
