Vancouver woman Mellissa Dawn Parks, 33 charged with Assault in Winnipeg

On June 1, 2010 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Uniform members were dispatched to the 2000 block of Wellington Street regarding a threat incident.

The investigation has revealed that a female passenger travelling via bus from Thompson, Manitoba began causing a disturbance and confronting other passengers. The situation escalated at which time the female suspect physically assaulted two passengers causing minor injuries.

The bus driver was notified of the incident and was able to calm the situation down until police arrival.

At approximately 9:50 p.m., Mellissa Dawn PARKS, 33 years of Vancouver, British Columbia was placed under arrest. She has been charged with Assault x 2.

She has been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
