William Staples and his daughter, Rhonda Borelli were reported missing by family members on January 21, 1998. They lived together on their family farm in Glanbrook. They were last seen alive January 16, 1998.

The police began an investigation shortly after they were reported missing, suspecting that they had been the victims of foul play.

On June 8, 1998 their bodies were found secreted in the back of William Staple’s pick up truck that was found parked at the Park’n Fly adjacent to Pearson International Airport. They were the obvious victims of a homicide.

Today members of the Hamilton Police Homicide Unit arrested and charged Mark Staples, 47 yrs. of Dundas, Ontario with two counts of 1st Degree Murder. Mark Staples is the son of William Staples and brother to Rhonda Borelli.

Now that a charge is before the courts, police have no further comment to make about these charges.
