The York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying and apprehending one suspect in connection with a bank robbery in the City of Vaughan.
On Friday, July 16, 2010, at approximately 11:10 a.m., a lone male suspect entered the Bank of Nova Scotia located at 3661 Major Mackenzie Drive West and approached a bank teller.

The suspect turned a note over indicating he had a gun although no weapon was seen. The suspect discreetly demanded money and the victim complied. The suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.
 

No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as:
 
• Male, white but tanned, 25 to 30 years
• 5’6’’, 170 lbs., medium build, short black hair, pockmarked face
• Wearing blue jeans, a blue and white long-sleeved shirt, boots and sunglasses
• Tattoo on left hand
