Police are seeking the identity of a male suspect who inappropriately touched a female victim at a bus stop in Oshawa last week.

On Thursday July 22, 2010 at approximately 7:30 p.m. a 22-year-old female with special needs, was sexually assaulted by a male suspect while waiting for a Durham Transit bus on First Avenue and Simcoe Street South in Oshawa. The female resident of Oshawa was approached by the lone suspect who struck-up a friendly conversation. The suspect then kissed the female twice and touched her back. The transit bus arrived and the victim boarded the bus, leaving the suspect behind.

The investigation is ongoing and police are appealing to the public to assist with the identification of the male suspect who is believed to frequent both the Oshawa Centre and the public transit system.

The suspect is described as: male, white, 20-25 years, 6’ tall, clean-shaven; with long dark hair worn in a pony tail and wearing a baseball cap, dark clothes and always carries a plastic grocery bag which he spins around in his hands frequently.
