DRPS officers arrested a 24-year-old Pickering man last night and a search warrant at his residence this morning, yielded body armor and a loaded handgun.

As part of an ongoing assault investigation, officers located the accused male in a vehicle near his Valley Farm Road residence in Pickering Tuesday night. The accused attempted to flee the scene but lost control of his vehicle and struck a DRPS vehicle operated by tactical support officers involved in his arrest. No injuries were reported and the accused was taken into custody. The accused was in possession of a quantity of marihuana upon his arrest.

On Wednesday September 29, 2010, during the early morning hours, DRPS members of the Gang Enforcement Unit, Tactical Support Unit and West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau executed a search warrant at a residence on Valley Farm Road in Pickering and seized a loaded 40 calibre handgun and body armor vest.

Audley MCINTOSH, age 24, of Valley Farm Road in Pickering is charged with: Assault; Use Firearm in the Commission of an Offence; Threatening Death x2; Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm; Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition; Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime; Unsafe Storage; Possession of a Firearm Contrary to a Prohibition Order; Possession of a Prohibited Device Knowing its Possession is Prohibited; Possession of a Controlled Substance; Fail to Comply with Conditions of Recognizance and Possession of a Firearm Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized.
