On Sunday July 19th, 2009, at 1:55 am, Tevon Mitchell was at a private house party in the Port Union Road and Lawrence Avenue East area of Toronto.

Tevon was standing in the front yard of the residence when 2 vehicles drove by in a southerly direction. An occupant of one of the vehicles fired several rounds at the guests.

Tevon was struck and killed. An extensive investigation has failed to identify the person (s) responsible for Tevon’s murder.

Investigators believe that Tevon was not the intended target of the shooting.

The Chief of Police, William Blair has authorized a reward of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) from the Toronto Police Service for evidence leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this murder.

The reward is payable in Canadian Funds and expires on September 1st, 2011, and shall be apportioned as the Toronto Police Service deems just. Claims will be recognized only when made in writing prior to the expiry date.
