On Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at approximately 5:37 p.m., the victim was travelling on foot and attempted to cross the intersection of Torbram Road and Walker Drive. The victim was crossing from the south-east corner of the intersection to the north-east corner.

At the same time, a transport truck was turning right at the intersection, from northbound Torbram Road to eastbound Walker Drive, and struck the victim in the midst of the turn. Following the collision, the transport truck continued eastbound on Walker Drive, failing to remain at the scene of the collision.

Subsequent to this collision, a cargo van travelling behind the transport truck also turned right onto eastbound Walker Drive, struck the victim, and also failed to remain at the scene.

The transport truck is described as bright white, with a sleeper type cab and a 53 foot box trailer. The cargo van is described as white in colour.

Officers are currently at the collision scene, conducting a canvass, in an attempt to locate witnesses and evidence that will help identify the vehicles involved.
