The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit South and District 4 RCMP are investigating the death of 63-year-old Roch Thériault, an inmate at the Dorchester Penitentiary. Thériault was involved in an altercation in the early morning hours of February 26, 2011, and died as the result of his injuries.
Thériault’s death has been deemed a homicide, and a 59-year-old man, who is also an inmate at the penitentiary, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
