The remaining pilots of Kingfisher Airlines have threatened the management to pay off their salaries for the last two months or they will go on a strike from 8 pm on Tuesday.

The news exploded on the management of the private airlines on Monday when the pilots of the company wrote back to the owner Vijay Malya in response to the letter he wrote to his employees on Monday and informed them that the administration will start to pay off the accrued salaries of the employees within this week as soon as the tax authorities de-freeze the accounts of the company.

The pilots of Kingfisher who have been patient and listening to the excuses made by the management on weekly basis decided to write back and inform the concerned about their intentions. The letter they wrote to the chairperson said, “We appeal you to pay Two months’ salary [December 2011 and January 2012] on the 3rd April 2012 latest by 2000 hours and the balance of our dues to be paid latest by 20th April 2012 [February 2012 and March 2012]. We are not currently in a mental state to undertake any duties and doing so would jeopardize the safety of our aircraft and more so ever our valuable guests”.
