This Saturday Imran Khan, the chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), came to Lahore and went before the election tribunal to get his statement recorded to judge Kazim Ali Malik who is addressing the case of alleged rigging in constituency NA-122 during the May 2013 elections.

This evidence was submitted against the National Assembly speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, who won from NA-122 constituency and had defeated Imran Khan who was standing against him. Imran Khan was greeted by a huge crowd of PTI supporters who were chanting ‘Go Nawaz Go’. After getting his statement recorded, Imran Khan came outside to talk to the media persons and journalists gathered to question him. “We have provided all our evidence, and we have put our stance in front of them that all the evidence is in the the bags. Once they are inspected, everyone will know what happened in the elections,” Dawn News quoted the PTI chairman.

The former cricketer also said that all the evidence was in the ballot bags, they need to be opened to reveal the truth. He also said that if he was in Ayaz Sadiq’s position, he won’t have taken stay orders but would have allowed the recounting of ballot bags and no one would have had to wait this long. “I have won three seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; I wrote a letter to Speaker Ayaz Sadiq that if you want to open the ballot bags in the constituencies where I have one, you can,” the online portal quoted Khan.
