Argos Sign Receiver Jeffery Webb

The Toronto Argonauts Football Club has added more size and speed to its receiving corps by signing import Jeffery Webb.

Webb graduated from San Diego State University second all-time in receptions with 211 and his 2,478 yards puts him fourth in school history. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2007, the 6’2”, 211 lb. speedster had his best year as a pro, playing in 16 of 18 games, and making 28 catches for 313 yards, LG 32, and 1 TD for Kansas City. He also saw time at kick returner, amassing 10 returns for 204 yards.

Personal: Jeff has a 2-year old daughter named Annika Lein and his parents are Lein Officer and Jeffery Smith. When he’s not spending time with his daughter, Jeff helps out at the Boys & Girls Club in La Quinta, California. His cousin, Jonas Gray, plays running back for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Jeff earned his degree in Criminal Justice from San Diego State.
