The Toronto Argonauts will battle the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for second place in the East Division and a guaranteed playoff spot this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Rogers Centre. The match-up between the oldest arch-rivalry in professional football will have playoff implications with each team jockeying to clinch a playoff spot and ultimately host a playoff game.

Fans are encouraged to stay in their seats at halftime for the popular Wendy’s Kick for A Million final when 38-year old hotel employee Kent Wingert of St. Catharines, ON, has the chance to change his life forever with one kick of a football. Wendy’s Kick for a Million returns to Rogers Centre for a sixth-consecutive year in the TSN and Wendy’s international award-winning million-dollar giveaway. During Friday night’s halftime event, Kent Wingert will attempt four field goals for great prizes, including the 50-yard attempt for chance to win $1 million! Other prizes include a Samsung $25,000 family package, a Nissan 370Z Roadster and $100,000 cash. Wingert is guaranteed to go home a winner even if the $1 million kick attempt comes up short, as he will be awarded $1,000 for each yard kicked in the air on the 50-yard attempt.

Friday’s game also celebrates the Argos’ Level The Playing Field program sponsored by Tim Hortons. The program, in partnership with the Toronto District School Board, helped return football teams return to three Toronto-area high schools and revitalize ten other football programs. Through a $10,000 donation to each school, Downsview Secondary School, Sir Robert L. Borden B.T.I. and Thistletown Collegiate Institute are each fielding a football team this fall, after many years of not having teams. In all, TDSB high school football will receive $80,000 in funding in the 2010 season through the program. Earlier in the day, the Thistletown Scots will face the Downsview Mustangs in the first annual Level The Playing Field Cup. Players from all of the new teams will take part in various game day activities. As well, an auction will be set up at Gate 9A in support of the programs of The Argos Foundation, including Level The Playing Field.

Before the game, fans should head to Gate 11 for the Community Crew BBQ. Marc Angelo will grill up sausages with all of the proceeds benefitting Christian Horizons. Saputo Dairy Products will be sampling a new product pre-game outside Gates 5 and 11 and Fisherman’s Friend will be distributing sample packs at these gates after the game. Another reason to arrive early is the Timbits pre-game scrimmage featuring the Ajax-Pickering Dolphins.

After the game, the See You on the Field returns. Fans can come down on the field to meet many of the Toronto Argonauts players and cheerleaders for autographs and photos. Following See You On The Field, supporters are invited to head over to the Official Post-Game Party at Jack Astor’s, 144 Front Street West, to say hi to some of your favourite Argos players and the 2010 Argos Cheerleaders, presented by the Toronto Sun. The party will also feature a Budweiser special.
