I read a humourous (but troubling) catch phrase over at The Abortioneers, 77% of anti-abortion leaders are men; 100% will never need an abortion. So I found the stats on Canadian MPs over at ARCC.
There are 307 MPs representing all of Canada since the 2008 election. 118 of them are anti-choice, 99 (of 144) Conservative MPs, and 18 (of 77) Liberal MPs. Of the 99 Conservative antis, 85 are men. On the Liberal side of things, 17 of the 18 antis are men. That is staggering. Of the 144 anti-choicers in Canadian federal politics, 102 are men.
In Canada, 71% of anti-abortion leaders are men; 100% will never need an abortion.
I am so glad that these men are happy to take away rights of women. If it weren’t for the incredible gender disparity in politics, something tells me anti-choice policies wouldn’t get as far as they do. Sickening eh?

Haven’t you ever heard of Thomas Beattie the pregnant man?
Okay as far as I know, Beattie was born biologically a woman. He changed his gender, but not his sex.
