Join comedy impresario and film critic Mark Breslin for a three-part film series featuring ground-breaking comedians: Lenny Bruce, Jerry Seinfeld and Joan Rivers. Mark will share insight into the world of standup comedy, the business of funny and how it translates into great film. The Revue is thrilled to welcome Mark as our resident comedy guru for the next three months. He’ll be introducing the following films: Comedian: Thursday May 17 7:00 p.m. Seinfeld Christian Charles’ 2002 documentary looks at the work of two stand-up comics, Jerry Seinfeld and a lesser-known newcomer. Comedian explores the other side of stand-up comedy: the preparation, politics, nerves, and creativity. It takes huge effort, along with a lot of frustration, to put together a successful act and career while living a life on the road. Cameo appearances include Colin Quinn, Jim Norton, Ray Romano, Godfrey, Chris Rock, Jay Leno, Tom Papa, and Bill Cosby.
