Shani’s Girls Toronto Edition Performance Intensive

“Shani’s Girl’s” was a performance project that started off with a showcase for the International Hustle and Salsa congress in Puerto Rico. The project allowed students to perform with instructors, thus giving them a chance to train in a professional environment. The project has since grown in popularity and “Shani’s Girl’s” has performed internationally and on television. For this one weekend, Shani will be hosting a Toronto Edition of Shani’s girls where 9 lucky ladies will be given the chance to learn a sassy choreography incorporating jazz, hip hop, samba, cha cha and salsa over a period of 4 hours, and then perform it at the 8th Annual Talent Defined Dance Festival on Saturday June 23, 2012. Only taking 9 ladies. Must have advanced Salsa training with plenty of performance experience. Please speak to either Estelle or Tina at City Dance Corps to guarantee enrollment. All dancers must perform at the 8th Annual Talent Defined Festival on Saturday June 23, 2012 at 8pm. You will be required to attend at technical rehearsal on stage at the Al Green Theatre, at 5pm. Showtime is at 8pm. This is a showcase of professional and emerging dance companies and choreographers. More information can be found at www.talentdefined.com. Costumes will be included in the price of the workshop EXCEPT for Salsa shoes, tights, fishnets, and underclothing. These items must be provided by the dancers. This is a registered class for adults only. Space is limited and students must pre register to confirm a spot in the class. Registration is based on a first come, first serve basis.
