As if a screening of Mel Brooks’ classic 1974 comedy Young Frankenstein wasn’t enticing enough to warrant a ticket purchase, the good folks at The Colony Theatre have thrown in two complimentary glasses of wine and unlimited free popcorn to round out an amazing night of laughs and big-screen lunacy. Starring the brilliant Gene Wilder as the grandson of Dr. Victor Frankenstein, this timeless comedy finds him inheriting the Gothic castle of his grandfather (as well as a few other trappings, including a goofy hunchback named Igor and a lovely lab assistant named Inga), where he decides to recreate the reanimation experiment that made his ancestor a scientist of infamy. Filled with abiding sequences — like the “Puttin’ On the Ritz” song and dance number — Young Frankenstein also stars Peter Boyle, Marty Feldman, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman and Teri Garr.
