Reveling in his unofficial title “King of the Chitlin’ Circuit,” 77-year-old bluesman Bobby Rush looks back on his long-running career in this one-on-one interview. The singer has been on the road playing harmonica and guitar since he was a teen, has performed with fellow legends Dr. John and Elmore James and was nominated for a Grammy for his 2013 album, “Down In Louisiana.” Rush’s style blends traditional blues with funk, his own raw lyricism and flashy showmanship. Proving he’s still very much in demand, he recently sang a James Brown classic with Blues Brother Dan Aykroyd on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Rush will grab the mic and perform after his interview.
