This fun-loving five-piece is on a mission to rejuvenate American string band music with their raw energy, original tunes and sweat-inducing, foot-stomping live performances at saloons, theaters and indie rock venues throughout the country. They’ve shared the stage with stars like Del McCoury and Steve Martin, performed live on A Prairie Home Companion, and even scored a Minnesota Public Radio hit with their cover of the Beatles’ “I Am the Walrus.” Now Pert Near Sandstone brings their infectious, old-timey sound to the Saint Rocke stage, along with alt-country heroes Dead Winter Carpenters.
