You probably remember rapper Boosie Badazz best back when he was called Lil Boosie, Baton Rouge’s pride and joy who was a household name in Southern hip hop before being sentenced to prison for drug charges in 2009. While in jail, he released an album, Incarcerated, and spawned a hashtag and line of T-shirts that proclaimed “Free Boosie.” Released from prison last year, Lil Boosie became Boosie Badazz and is touring on the heels of an 18-track mixtape released last October, Life After Deathrow, which features just some of the 500-plus songs he wrote while in jail. Take the chance to catch the “Tupac of the South” when he performs live at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
