Police has confirmed that the suspect in custody in connection to the missing Ancaster, Ont., man, 27-year-old Dellen Millard, will now be charged with first degree murder. Timothy Bosma was initially reported missing eight days ago as he disappeared on May 6, when he took two strangers for a test drive of his black pick-up truck that he was selling online. In a press conference on Monday afternoon, Det.-Sgt. Matt explained that “he was taken to a location in the Waterloo area where his body was burned beyond recognition.”

After finding remains of Bosma’s body, Hamilton Police reported that “we are convinced by the totality of the evidence that these are the remains of Tim Bosma.” It added that “the evidence indicates that the remains have been burned.” Millard, who was initially arrested on Saturday and charged with forcible confinement and theft over $5,000, is now scheduled to appear in court to defend first-degree murder charges on Wednesday.

Furthermore, Kavanaugh confirmed that police is also seeking at least two more suspects, explaining that “video evidence we have now recovered shows that when Mr. Bosma’s vehicle left his residence, there was a second vehicle following him.” He added that “we do not know at this time how many people were in that vehicle.” Asserting that public might be at risk, Kavanagh alleged that “certainly there’s a fear of that. Look what [they] did the first time to Mr. Bosma so, yes, there is a fear.” Kavanaugh assured that evidence indicates that Bosma was killed on the same night that he went missing.
