In a span of eight days there had been a storm of entertaining programs by Ajaay Modi Entertainment with a presentation of 22 hours of live entertainment and four days of eventful concerts, parties and celebrations.

It all began on the joyful night of Dec 25, 2011 on the Christmas Day with “Nawabi Shaam” and what a finale on the New Years day – Jan 1, 2012 in a classy concert by Padamshree Pankaj Udhas “JASHAN 2012” was indeed a jubilation of success as the title of the evening suggests.

Dec 25, 2011: NAWABI SHAAM…

Evening like this happens to be a blessing for those who attended and unfortunate for those who could not make it…  Realm of the Royals was created in the most elaborate décor with who’s and who of the town in attendance. Everything about the evening was stepping back and enjoying the renaissances of the Royal Gharanas of Lucknow and Hydarabad. The specially flown troupe of dancers and singers were just fascinating and was perfect. Ms. Arzoo Parvin with her husky voice gave in some of the greatest Qawallis, which were not heard in Toronto over the period. Ms. Parvin has performed in 2006 with the same promoter and the same venue said that she has some fond memories about Toronto and it gives her a great pleasure and feels honored to come back and perform on a very popular demand. The accompanying dancers from Mumbai gave in some of the most popular mujra songs of bollywod songs like “Dil Cheez Kya Hai” and “Salaam – E- Ishq” they were professional in their moves and added the aura to the entire setup. The décor of the venue Red Rose Convention Center was spell bound and had the VOW! Factor on its first glimpse specially created by Karma Design Studio and Mr. Piyush said that the organizer Mr. Ajaay Modi had been particular about every detail and had taken a personal interest in making this possible. Specialty theme food with live paan counter and sheesha (herbal hukkas) just added the spice to the entire flavor.

Dec 29, 2011: “Muqabala – E – Qawalli”…

A very private and invitations only evening for the selected guests and performance by Ms. Arzoo Parvin and accompanying singer Mr. Saleem Javed on a day with bad weather could not stop the enthusiasts from attending the function and enjoying the greatest qawallies in musical records with live musicians… Evenings like this showcase the true and real artists who play everything live and was like a fresh breath in these times where everything is so artificial and unrealistic with karaoke and lip sinking and it is difficult to Asses whether there is anything for real… The only thing about this evening to improve was to make it ticketed and let other people also enjoy the true music and real artist to whom we sometimes address as FANKAARS.

Dec 31, 2011: New Years Eve – Hooray 2012…

The biggest night of year and a proud moment for the Indian community when Padamshree Pankaj Udhas flew in specially from Mumbai to perform o Dec 31, 2011 and Jan 1, 2012.

There was speculation and suspicion that is he actually coming and the audience were seen pinching themselves to believe and assure that they were not dreaming. The organisers “Ajaay Modi Entertainment” and Mr. Modi was seen handling the huge turnaround at the gates managing the crowd where more than 400 people returned back from the gates. Some ticket holders had to wait for a long period outside as more than 1000 guests were trying to assure that they get in ASAP and retain their seats.

As usual the program started late and was delayed but everything was under control and the overwhelming crowd received full justice when “Pankaj Udhas” started humming the musical notes. The evening was opened by Toronto’s Gazal Maestro Manoj Chaman who also released got his musical CD by UDHAS and had all praise for the singer and wished him good luck.

The combination of the evening was perfect fit with a soft and relaxed evening to begin with melodies by maestro and then getting into the party mood with sensational Saima Khan accompanied by sizzling Brazilian Dancers kept the foot tapping audience dancing till 2 AM. Everything was done right with few hiccups of a power failure in between… but excuse was granted and audience was seen jubilant with a great value for money being offered in the package…

The Hooray 2012… swept the town and seemed that everybody wanted to be a part of it but need to know that good things come in limited edition.

Jan 1, 2012 New Years Day – Jashan 2012…

History was created when Padamshree Pankaj Udhas performed back to back on two concerts at the same venue with additional 800 plus audience in attendance and proved that great music lovers exists in Toronto and it is truly the multicultural capital of the world.

The brain behind this storm Ajaay Modi was seen jubilant and excited about the success and promise to bring in some great concerts and artists in the near future…
