National Assembly members in a past sessionSome parliamentarians yesterday raised serious questions during a seven-hour heated debate as to why the two ministers failed to appear before the August House for an explanation of the incident and blamed the security institutions for the tragedy.

The South Sudan National Assembly, (SSNA) last week summoned the two Ministers, the Central Equatoria State Governor and the Juba County Commissioner Mr. Thomas Peter Lodu to explain an incident that occurred in Komiru residential area that led to the killing of ten people.

Mr. Lomole who appeared on behalf of his boss Governor Clement Wani Konga couldn’t answer some of the technical questions raised by the legislators over the administration of armed and organized forces in the State.

Lomole said that the organized forces are solely controlled by the Interior Ministry. “I wish he (Interior Minister) was here; he is the right person to answer this,” Lomole said in self defence.

However, the legislators passed a motion that the two Ministers including the Minister of National Security must appear in the House to deliver a report over the incident.
