The new cabinet has a few changes, which the Governor said, is meant to boost service delivery to the people.
Some former ministers have been retained in the changes that took effect on 11 April 2012.
Below is the new cabinet lineup:
1. Professor Paul Ladu Bureng, Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries
2. Jacob Aligo Lo-Ladu, Minister of Finance and Economic Development,
3. Michael Roberto Kenyi, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry
4. Francis Barson Yoasa, Minister of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports
5. Dr Emmanuel Ija Baya, Minister of Health
6. John Malish Duke, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs
7. Michael Tongun Martin, Minister of Cooperative and Rural Development
8. Suba Samuel Mannasseh, Minister Physical Infrastructure
9. Margaret Ayite Milyan, Minister of Education
10. Mary Apayi Ayiga, Minister of Gender and Social Development
11. Cecilia Oba Tito, Minister of Cabinet Affairs
12. Albert Pitya Redentore, Minister of Local Government
13. Valentino Kenyi Pitya, Minister of Labour and Public Service
The Governor also issued a gubernatorial decree relieving the Commissioners of Yei River, Lainya and Juba counties and appointed the following:
1. David Juma Augustino, the Commissioner of Yei River County
2. Rereka Sadaraka Logurun, Commissioner of Lainya County
3. Stephen Wani Michael, Commissioner of Juba County.
At least ten ministers and three commissioners were sworn into office yesterday by the President of the State High Court Justice. Malek Mathiang Malek.
The ceremony took place at the Governor’s office in the presence of the State Deputy Governor Manase Lomole Waya who was sworn into office on Wednesday after being reappointed to his position.
Waya directed the new ministers to develop action plans for effective service delivery.
He also urged the County Commissioners to ensure security and peaceful co-existence of the different ethnic groups and nationalities residing in their counties.
