“One of your boys here hired people by giving them 180,000 South Sudanese Pounds (SSP) to kill me,” he said.
He a said the youths testified that they were bribed to assassinate the governor but were not in a position to do that work after their arrest last week in Yambio.
The youth were arrested by security forces in Yambio.
The governor said that some people had accused him of working to bring foreigners to the state.
He was speaking soon after he arrived in Yambio from Juba on Sunday afternoon after meeting President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
The governor also extended the President’s greetings to the people of the state and his plans to attend the Centenary celebrations in Mopoi due in December.
He said youth are idle and with the austerity measures, they have taken the chance to be used by politicians to cause insecurity in the state.
Bakosoro said the three youths and the suspects will be taken to the court of law to answer the charges of attempting to assassinate him.
He urged the youth of the state to refrain for dirty politics or being used by politicians to fulfill their selfish interests.
