Najib Tun Razak, the Prime Minister called the Indian Malaysians to put their trust in the government and believe that the current government aims to offer long term growth and development for better personal as well as community lives.

The Prime Minister expressed his feelings on the festival of Thaipusam at his blog. Thaipusam is a sacred event for Hindus all over the globe where they all gather to thank their God for his blessings and guidance throughout the year.

He said, “We remain committed to fulfilling all our promises to the community and we’ll do what’s needed to help people achieve their dreams.”

He said that many will be praying for a better future for themselves, their children, and family at this bright event. “It’s a basic human wish to improve and progress towards a better quality of life for oneself and our loved ones,” Najib said, further saying that the government is completely aware and understands the need for progress.

He also greeted Hindus all over the globe and in Malaysia specifically at the festival of Thaipusam.

Furthermore, he said, “We can, once again, appreciate our diverse culture as Malaysian Hindus mark the auspicious day.”
