Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousaf Raza Gillani and the President of United States of America Barak Obama met with each other on Tuesday in the Seoul conference taking place in North Korea amid the rising level of tension amongst the two countries.

Leaders of both the countries agreed on rescuing the anti-terrorism alliance which was affected ten months back with US drones killing 27 soldiers on the border of the country after the capture of America’s most wanted man, Osama Bin Laden from Abbotabad in Pakistan. The two met in the sidelines of the two day Seoul Conference.

After the meeting between the leaders ended, Obama spoke to the media and said, “There have been times – I think we should be candid – over the last several months where those relations have had periods of strains. But I welcome the fact that the parliament of Pakistan is reviewing, after some extensive study, the nature of this relationship. I think it’s important to get it right. I think it’s important for us to have candid dialogue, to work through these issues.”

The parliament of Pakistan has put forward the condition of a formal apology from US and the prices of the tax levied on NATO conveys to be raised, with several other recommendations. The matter is still under discussion.
