Deputy PM, Nick CleggLiberal Democrats are looking forward to hold upon a debate meant to drop the probable changes to the NHS in England to be dropped.

Deputy PM, Nick Clegg has indicated that the controversial NHS bill has changed “out of all recognition” since its first publication.

It has been reported that if Lib Dems do vote for the Health Bill to be dropped then that will become Lib Dem policy rather than governmental policy, and it would consequently maximise the pressure on the Mr. Clegg.

The aim of the bill is to give GPs the control of much of the NHS budget and would open up the health service to greater competition from the private and voluntary sector. A few opponents are of the opinion that the changes will result in the privatisation of the NHS.

Mr. Clegg has said in Conference rallying call at the Sage Gateshead: “We have made some really difficult decisions, not all of them popular. But we made all of them with only one test in mind. What was the right thing to do for the country? And now it is time to move on.”

“To stop justifying being in Government and start advertising being in Government. To stop lamenting what might have being and start celebrating what is. To stop defending our decisions and start shouting our achievements from the roof tops.”

“So, no more looking back, you can’t drive if you are only looking in the rear view mirror. We have to look forwards to a better future that we are building for our children.”

Newcastle Lib Dem leader, David Faulkner has also welcomed the battle cry. Mr. Faulkner has told that they were being defensive from the last couple of years. They did face difficulties in their collaboration with the Conservatives and despite all the issues they have done things in the Government that would not have been done without their presence.
