The victim of Saturday night’s homicide has been identified as 37-year-old James George Wareham of Sackville.

At 11:15 p.m., officers responded to an apartment in the 0-100 block of Primrose Street in Dartmouth after receiving a call that a man had been stabbed. Upon arrival, the officers located Mr. Wareham suffering from a stab wound. He was rushed to hospital where he passed away.

Based on the investigation, it is believed that a man known to the victim attended the apartment where an argument ensued which led to the stabbing. Investigators are continuing to follow up on several leads in the matter, however, they are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them.
