An Orono man is facing multiple charges after allegedly shooting four dogs in his house.

On Sunday May 22, 2011 at approximately 12:30 p.m. officers from East Division responded to a residence on Taunton Road in Orono after receiving a report of several dogs deceased at this location after being shot while inside the home. Officers arrived and discovered four dead dogs. A litter of several puppies were safely removed and transported to an animal welfare shelter for medical attention. Officers seized a rifle from the premises along with additional items.

Joe TUCKER, age 25 of Taunton Road, Orono is charged with: Careless Use of a Firearm; Careless Storage of a Firearm and Killing of Animals Other Than Cattle x4. The accused was released on an Undertaking with Conditions.
