Two arrested for brazen Toronto ATM machine heist

On Tuesday, February 22, 2011, the Toronto Police Service issued a news release regarding a break-and-enter at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

It is alleged that:

– on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at 4:43 a.m., two men drove a stolen pick-up truck through the front doors of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre,

– the men stole an automated teller machine (ATM),

– the men obtained over $30,000 in cash from the stolen ATM.

On Monday, May 16, 2011, the Calgary Police Service arrested Louis Pardoe, 30, of Calgary, on a Canada Wide Warrant, in Calgary, for break-and-enter.

He was taken back to Toronto and has been charged with:

1) Conspiracy to commit indictable offence,
2) Theft under,
3) Possession Property obtained by Crime,
4) Mischief under,
5) Possession Property obtained by Crime,
6) Mischief under,
7) Possession Property obtained by Crime,
8) Mischief under,
9) Break and Enter Commit,
10) Theft over,
11) Possession Property obtained by Crime,
12) Dangerous operation,
13) Disguise with intent,
14) Mischief over.

On Thursday, May 12, 2011, 52 Division Major Crime officers arrested Michael Farrugia, 29, of no fixed address, for:

1) Conspiracy to commit indictable offence,
2) Theft under,
3) Possession Property obtained by Crime,
4) Mischief under,
5) Possession Property obtained by Crime,
6) Mischief under,
7) Possession Property obtained by Crime,
8) Mischief under,
9) Break and Enter Commit,
10) Theft over,
11) Possession Property obtained by Crime,
12) Mischief over.
