Houston police investigate death of 4 month infant

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a four-month-old boy at 12803 Northborough about 3:05 p.m. on Wednesday (July 6).

The identity and cause of death of the infant are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Officer B. Oxspring reported:

The baby’s mother and father were caring for him at home when he was found unresponsive. The father performed CPR on the baby in an attempt to revive him. The Houston Fire Department was called and, upon arrival, emergency personnel also attempted to revive the infant. He was transported to Houston Northwest Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
