The memorial service of deceased Hells Angel, Bob Green, held in South Vancouver on Saturday drew more than several hundred well-wishers, including many of his Hells Angels brethren who rode in procession along Vancouver streets before arriving at the venue. The service took place just before 1 p.m. in heavy rain at the Fraserview Hall. In addition to his fellow riders, there were many other supporters and well-wishers including Green’s family who arrived on Fraser Street at Marine Drive in limousines.
Eye witnesses confirm that members of Hells Angels came from across Canada as many attendees had back patches linking them to New Brunswick, Montreal, Ontario, Alberta and Manitoba chapter of the group. In addition to a huge presence of Hells Angels riders, there were other biker gangs from across B.C. who showed their support as well including the Jesters, the Horsemen, the Throttle Lockers, the Devil’s Army and more.
The event was monitored live by Vancouver police gang cops, along with help from members of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit. While several officers were present at the ceremony in plain clothes, some stayed far to use long lenses to photograph the faces and back patches of funeral attendees. Quite expectedly majority of the attended refused to talk to reporters who had any questions about Green. The famous group leader was shot dead in Langley on Oct. 16.
