The Regina Police Service has requested an activation of the Amber Alert system in its attempts to locate a missing child, believed to have been abducted by her father.

Police are asking for help in locating four year-old Storm Slippery, DOB: 2007-12-17, of Regina. Storm is with her father 32 year-old Anthony Joseph Slippery, DOB: 1979-12-27 of Regina. Anthony Slippery is driving a 2003 Red Windstar, SK Licence 121 HSP, last seen leaving the 4100 block of 5th Avenue, heading northbound. The front and side of the van are red, the rear of the van is grey, so to anyone seeing the licence plate, the vehicle might appear to be a grey van.

Storm Slippery is described as female, four years old, Aboriginal, thin build, with short, black, curly hair and brown eyes. Her front teeth are decayed and she is also missing her incisors. She is wearing a pink and black checkered jacket, a green t-shirt with the caption “When I grow up I want to be a Rider” in white lettering. She is also wearing blue-jean Capri-length pants and pink sock, no shoes. Anthony Joseph Slippery is described as male, Aboriginal, 32 years old with black hair (longer than in photo), brown eyes, approximately 5′ 7 tall, weighing about 166 pounds. Anthony Slippery has pierced ears and visible tattoos including the words, “Pray For Me” on his neck, and the image of two feathers at the corner of his left eye. Slippery is wearing dark jeans, a black hoodie with a Saskatchewan Roughrider logo, black sock, black sandals. He is considered to be violent and dangerous.

Police were called at 10:42 this morning, April 26, 2012, to the 4100 block of 5th Avenue. It’s alleged Anthony Slippery abducted the child and left the area in the 2003 Red Windstar. Upon gathering further information, the Regina Police Service enacted the Amber Alert protocol, coordinated through the RCMP Division Operational Communication Centre.

Update: The Regina Police Service is confirming that four-year-old Storm Slippery has been found, unharmed. At approximately 4:40 p.m. on Thursday, police were contacted with information that the child had been left with a family member. Officers then had to confirm that this was, indeed, Storm Slippery.
