The Calgary Police Service has issued warrants for a man wanted in connection with the city’s latest homicide.

At approximately 3:25 a.m., on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, police were called to reports of gunshots in the 100 block of Applefield Close S.E.

When officers arrived, the body of a man in his 20s was located on the roadway. An autopsy on the victim was completed today, Monday, Oct. 1, 2012.

The victim has been officially identified as Philip Salviu Anny, 28, of Calgary. Anny died as a result of the shooting.

This is Calgary’s 12th homicide of 2012.

Although early in the investigation, police believe this was a targeted attack and not random. Warrants for second-degree murder have been issued for Deng Lino Keror, 21.

Keror and Anny were associates and it’s believed an earlier disagreement led to the shooting.

Keror is a Sudanese male, 6’2” tall, and 200 pounds, with a slim build.
