A shooting took place in downtown Toronto just after midnight on the New Year’s Eve, where a man and a woman were injured from gunshots, who then drove themselves to a nearby hospital despite the dreadful wounds. Authorities confirm that the shooting occurred sometime after 2 a.m. outside the Guvernment Entertainment Complex, i.e. a nightclub near Jarvis Street and Queens Quay East. 

Both the Victim drove all the way to St. Michael’s Hospital, which is almost 10 blocks from the crime scene, where they are currently being treated for serious injuries. Hospital asserts that one of two victims is in critical condition. Our sources confirmed the presence of a car outside the hospital on early Tuesday which had a minimum of three bullet holes. The police confirms that at least five gun shots were fired at the scene, though they are still working to identify the motive behind the shooting.

There were several more incidents reported at different New Year’s Eve parties around southeastern Ontario. A stabbing incident took place right after midnight at Toronto’s Muzik nightclub, where the victim encountered non-life-threatening injuries. While in at a party at Windsor, a man was stabbed in chest and another was hit on the head with a bottle, both of whom are being treated for non-life threatening injuries at a hospital. While on the other, the police of Niagara Falls are looking for a suspect who inflicted multiple stab wounds on two young men at a New Year’s Eve house party. The two victims were transported to hospital, where they are listed in stable condition.
