The supporters of Idle No More movement are holding different planned protests in numerous cities, including Toronto, as per their preplanned national day of action on Wednesday. The Provincial Police of Ontario has already cautioned motorists to be remain vigilant and expect possibility of potential delays on the 400 series highways along with several other roads, including the routes which lead to the Ambassador Bridge border crossing in Windsor.

The OPP had to soon close a portion of westbound Highway 401 sometime after 10 a.m., i.e. often deemed as Canada’s busiest highway, near Tilbury, about 50 kilometres east of Windsor. The demonstration held by the protestors of Idle No More movement in Toronto took place outside the British Consulate, i.e. locate at 777 Bay St. North of the city, where a group of demonstrators organized at Georgian College in Barrie and then marched to an intersection to block the traffic with a round dance. While in Windsor, the traffic of Huron Church Road and College Avenue was disrupted, i.e. intersection leading to the Ambassador Bridge which is the busiest border crossing in North America, as several hundred people gathered and performed a round dance.

The organizers of Windsor rally claim not to be a part of Idle No More movement, but rather claimed to be only showing their support for First Nation leadership separately. The Chief of Delaware First Nation, Greg Peters, alleged that the demonstration is commenced to prove to the nation that First Nations are peaceful people, who want nothing more than a fair share.
