Trevor RoseboroughOn June 21, 2012, the North Vancouver RCMP was approached by a family on the North Shore wishing to report their family member missing from Mexico. Trevor Roseborough, a 53 year old Canadian man, was happily living on his boat near Puerto Vallarta, on and off for a few years. Just prior to his disappearance, Roseborough arranged for the sale of his boat. ROSEBOROUGH would return to Canada every year, and was good at maintaining regular contact with his family and friends until his communication abruptly stopped in January 2012.

As this was out of character for him, Roseborough’s family reported his disappearance to the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT), as well as the Ministerio Publico office in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. As Roseborough was last seen in Mexico, the primary responsibility of the missing person investigation rests with Mexican Authorities. Despite being limited in its capacity to investigate from Canada, the North Vancouver RCMP created a file on the Canadian side, in order to be a local Police contact and support for the family.

Trevor Roseborough, is described as a white male, 53 years old, 5’6 (168 cm) 140 lbs (63 kg), blue eyes, and brown/gray hair.

Throughout the investigation, North Vancouver RCMP investigators have conducted inquiries into Roseborough’s banking and internet activity. Police have liaised with Interpol, and the RCMP Liaison officer assigned to Mexico. Primary investigator, Cpl. Sue Tupper, commented,We are very concerned about Trevor’s well-being. To our knowledge, it has been 16 months since Trevor has been seen alive. The circumstances of his disappearance remain a mystery and, unfortunately, one which we have very little access to solve. Police hope that media attention may assist in garnering some tips from the public.
