Florida Police revealed in a press conference on Wednesday that they have already acquired DNA profiles of two females suspected of killing a Toronto couple, namely 71-year-old Donny Pichosky and 66-year-old Rochelle Wise, in the community of Hallandale Beach last January. During the news conference on Wednesday morning, local police Chief, Dwayne Flournoy, alleged that even though they haven’t been able to identify the suspects yet, they will do so soon. In addition to that, members of the victims’ family also requested the public to come up with any information on the case that could lead to arrests.

Flournoy alleged that Hallandale Beach police has already cross-referenced the DNA profiles with databases of law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and Canada, and “It’s only a matter of time until we get a match.” He added that “we will get a match.” This Friday would mark the first anniversary of police investigation into the murders of Toronto snowbirds, whose bodies were found by a neighbour in their townhouse last Jan. 10.

The deaths were quickly ruled as double homicide, though there have not been any arrests or charges up till now. According to Flournoy, investigators have ruled out any connections to the victims’ family. Latest update in the case was released in March, when police announced to have determined that the couple passed away due to asphyxiation, alleging that they believe at least two perpetrators were responsible for the crime and the only item missing from the home is Wise’s $16,000 wedding ring.
