Man Stabbed at Bus Stop in the Town of Markham

The York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigation Bureau is seeking public assistance in identifying and apprehending two suspects in connection with a stabbing in the Town of Markham.

On Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a 31-year-old male got into an altercation with the suspect on a Toronto Transit Commission bus. Both the suspect and the victim got off the bus at a stop located on the northeast corner of Steeles Avenue East and Yonge Street. The suspect confronted the victim and stabbed him before fleeing towards an Esso station where he met up with the second suspect. Both suspects then fled northbound through the Esso station lot.

Following the attack, the victim managed to walk to the Esso station where he asked for help. The victim was transported to hospital where he was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects are described as: 

SUSPECT #1:

• Male, black, 5’6’’, 20 to 25 years
• Wearing a black, leather jacket, blue jeans and a black toque

SUSPECT #2:

• Male, black, 26 years
• Wearing a black, wool jacket, black sports pants with green stripes down the side, running shoes, and a black baseball cap
