Police did not have much to say regarding any connection between the three dead bodies found on Saturday at a Thorncliffe Park apartment building and another fatality near the Don Valley Parkway for nearly eight hours. Speaking about the scene at the apartment building on Sunday, Det. Tam Bui stated that “we are treating this case very seriously, it is what I believe is a homicide and what forensic pathologists are treating as a suspected homicide.”

In his remarks, Det. Bui stated that “we are keeping an open mind, and we are looking for any witnesses, anyone that might have heard something suspicious occurring here last night or the night before.” Majority residents of the 44-storey concrete apartment, which rests above the Don Valley, alleged that they didn’t know the people involved. 76-year-old Frank Mcdonald has been living in the building since 16 years and shared to have met one of the unit’s residents only, i.e. a man. According to Mcdonald, “he was a very decent guy,” adding that the man allegedly lived with his wife and child but never met them.

The Toronto police homicide unit took over the investigation at 85 Thorncliffe Park Dr. in East York Saturday evening. According to the paramedics, two adults and one chilrd were found inside the apartment. So far, police has refrained from releasing any identities and failed to provide any information on genders or ages of the victims, nor would they comment on the chronology of events.
