Markham woman Jennifer Pan and three men sentenced to life in prison in 2010 Markham homicide case

Markham woman Jennifer Pan, and the three men convicted with her in the death of her mother, were sentenced on January 23, 2015 to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years by the Honorable Justice Cary Boswell.

The four were also sentenced to a life term for the attempted murder of her father, to be served concurrently.

On Saturday, December 13, 2014, following four days of deliberation, Jennifer PAN, 28, Lenford Crawford, 32, David Mylvaganam, 26, and Daniel Wong, 29, were convicted in the 2010 death of Bieh Ha Pan, 53, and the attempted murder of 60-year-old Hann Pan.

The fifth co-accused, Eric Carty, 30, of no fixed address, will appear next in the Superior Court of Justice in Newmarket on February 2, 2015.

An additional suspect who entered the residence has yet to be identified and anyone with information is asked to come forward and speak to investigators.

On Monday, November 8, 2010, at approximately 10:30 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a residence on Helen Avenue after receiving a 9-1-1 call reporting a home invasion. Upon arrival, police discovered Bieh Ha Pan dead inside the residence and Hann Pan suffering from serious injuries.
