HSBC bank has confirmed to have fired its six staff members in Birmingham, England, on Tuesday after learning about a video posted on Instagram imitating an Islamic State execution. The video shot during a staff day at a go-kart track shows five men standing above another man kneeling on the ground, wearing an orange jumpsuit, while they hold coat hangers and say “Allahu Akbar” in a cheering mood.

The videos spread on the internet by Islamic State terrorists are well-known for their graphic content of executions, especially beheadings. The group has been gaining control over parts of the Middle East as it imposes its own extreme style of Islam. The clip was allegedly posted to Instagram following a team-building day at Teamworks Karting track in Birmingham. Even though it was deleted later, the video shocked many co-workers and eventually the bank itself.

In a statement issued by the spokesperson of HSBC bank, it was explained that the decision to immediately fire the employees is made by the bank’s legal team. It was mentioned that “this is an abhorrent video and HSBC would like to apologize for any offense caused.” Quite noticeably, more than one British national have been abducted and killed by the terror group, including Alan Henning and David Haines, who wore orange jumpsuits as they were beheaded. One British journalist, John Cantlie, is still uncounted for since his kidnapping in 2012. He was forced to make a number of Islamic State documentary-style videos.
