At approximately 1:53 a.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011, police were dispatched to the C-P railroad tracks in the area of 8th Avenue and Broder Street, for a report of the discovery of human remains. Police attended and located human remains, clothing and possessions along the railroad track, confirming that a death had occurred. Police investigation up to this point indicates that the victim, now known to be a 24 year-old female, entered the rail yard and crawled under a train, temporarily stopped in the yard. The woman was still under the train when it began to move again, eastbound on the tracks. At this stage, it does not appear that there was any foul play involved.
