Toronto Maple Leafs recall Matt Frattin

Brian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday that the hockey club has recalled forward Matt Frattin from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. The Maple Leafs placed Tim Connolly on injured reserve with an upper-body injury on Monday and he is expected to miss 10-to-14 days.

Frattin, 23, has appeared in 11 regular season games for the Maple Leafs this season, collecting one assist and six penalty minutes. The 6-0, 200-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta registered his first career NHL point, an assist, October 24 at Philadelphia. He was assigned to the Marlies on November 1 and played three games, registering three points (two goals, one assist) and 13 shots on goal.
