England will take on New Zealand in the first Test of the three-match series at the University Oval Stadium in Dunedin on 5th March.

New Zealand, after shortest format of cricket victory will now enter the test matches where England will start massive favorites against them. Kiwis have lost eight of the last 12 Tests between the two sides since 1999 but New Zealand is the undisputed winners at the University Oval in four tests, winning two and drawing the rest. Kiwi’s top order needs to perform well and Peter Fulton will be hoping to make his international return with a bang. The likely New Zealand squad will include: 1 Peter Fulton, 2 Hamish Rutherford, 3 Kane Williamson, 4 Ross Taylor, 5 Dean Brownlie, 6 Brendon McCullum (capt), 7 BJ Watling (wk), 8 Tim Southee, 9 Bruce Martin/Ian Butler, 10 Neil Wagner, 11 Trent Boult.

England own a second rank in Test and are in brilliant form as they enter the longest format of the game, having recently enjoyed a 2-1 win over India in the subcontinent. However, warm up match loss against NZ XI in Queenstown has raised some doubts regarding their form. Skipper Alastair Cook is in the epic form scoring 562 runs in the series against India, including three hundreds. James Anderson is one of the best new ball bowlers in the world and would be looking to use his skills in the best manner. The probable English lineup will include: 1 Alastair Cook (capt), 2 Nick Compton, 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Kevin Pietersen, 5 Ian Bell, 6 Joe Root, 7 Matt Prior (wk), 8 Stuart Broad, 9 Graeme Swann, 10 James Anderson, 11 Steven Finn.
