The Danforth used to pass through open fields and market gardens. Today we find an interesting mix of structures and sites: from the home of William Peyton Hubbard, the first African-Canadian member of Toronto City Council, to the Music Hall Theatre. LEADER: Stephanie Thomas START POINT: City Adult Learning Centre, 1 Danforth Ave (south side of Danforth, next to Prince Edward Viaduct) west of Broadview Subway Station FINISH POINT: Danforth and Gough Avenues, just west of Pape Ave LENGTH: Approx. 1 to 2 hours FOCUS: Historical, architectural DIFFICULTY: Long walk on pavement From April to October, thousands of people attend our free neighbourhood walking tours.
